What Is Hyundai Hope On Wheels?

Founded in 1998, Hyundai Hope On Wheels funds pediatric cancer research and spreads awareness about the fight against childhood cancer. With every new Hyundai sold in the United States, a donation is made to Hope On Wheels, turning each purchase into something far greater than just a vehicle. To date, Hyundai and its dealers have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to research, helping doctors and scientists move closer to finding a cure.

The most recognizable symbol of Hope On Wheels is the colorful handprint. Each handprint represents a child’s story of courage and strength in the face of cancer. These prints remind us of the real lives behind the mission and why this fight is so important.

A Special Visit to St. Louis Children’s Hospital

Recently, Hyundai Hope On Wheels visited St. Louis Children’s Hospital, bringing not just funding but a day of encouragement, hope, and recognition for the children and families who inspire us all. During the ceremony, children battling cancer dipped their hands in paint and placed colorful handprints on a Hyundai vehicle. These handprints symbolize their bravery and serve as a public reminder of the ongoing need for research and support.

Since its inception, Hyundai Hope On Wheels has awarded millions in research grants to children’s hospitals across the country. These grants give doctors and scientists the resources they need to discover better treatments and, ultimately, work toward a cure for childhood cancers.
